HUMBOLDT USA World Premiering at Visions du Réel

G. Anthony Svatek’s HUMBOLDT USA will celebrate its World Premiere at Visions du Réel in Nyon, Switzerland on April 22!

We are honored to be part of Visions du Réel’s International Feature Competition among such great programming and couldn’t think of a better home from which to launch the film.

The film interweaves environmental struggles set in three places named after 19th century gay naturalist Alexander von Humboldt - the so-called “grandfather of ecology” - exploring American nature amidst climate collapse and technological alienation.

Soon after Visions du Réel, HUMBOLDT USA will have its North American premiere at Museum of the Moving Image’s First Look in Queens, New York City! Having participated in the festival’s Working On It feedback program last year, this premiere is especially meaningful.
