BARBARA FOREVER premiering at Sundance in US Documentary Competition

BARBARA FOREVER, directed by Brydie O’Connor, will be premiering on January 24 at Sundance Film Festival! The film is an archive-driven exploration of the life, work, and legacy of iconic, pioneering lesbian filmmaker Barbara Hammer.

I first got to know Barbara Hammer’s films shortly after moving to New York City, attending incredible screenings at Anthology Film Archives, The Film-Makers’ Coop, and elsewhere. I fell in love with her work immediately, and it was formative to my education and growth as a filmmaker.

I’ve been so grateful to be able to produce this feature documentary on Barbara Hammer, alongside Brydie and Claire Edelman. It’s the result of years of dedicated work from our fantastic team and I can’t wait to finally share it with the world!
